Roofing Questions, Answered Straight

Costs, licensing, hail claims, timelines, materials and storm chasers — the questions Bartlesville homeowners actually ask us, answered without the sales gloss.

Everything we get asked, in one place

How much does a new roof cost in Bartlesville?

It depends on the roof area, the pitch, the number of layers coming off, how much decking needs replacing, and the system you choose — a 3-tab roof and a Class 4 impact-resistant roof on the same house are very different numbers. We will not quote a price over the phone without seeing the roof, because a phone number is a guess and a guess is how homeowners end up with change orders. The inspection and the written quote are free.

Are you licensed and registered in Oklahoma?

Yes. We hold Oklahoma Construction Industries Board Roofing Contractor Registration #80007465. Oklahoma does not issue a "roofing license" in the way some states do — it issues a registration, and it is unlawful to advertise or work as a roofing contractor without a current one. You can look ours up on the state portal before you talk to us.

What is the Residential Roofing Endorsement?

House Bill 1628 added a Residential Roofing Endorsement requirement for residential roofing work in Oklahoma from July 1, 2026, with a state exam behind it, higher registration fees, and no first-offence warning for working without it. Contractors already in good standing with the CIB were grandfathered in. If a crew knocking on doors cannot tell you their registration number, that is your answer.

Do you handle insurance claims?

We document the damage, meet your adjuster on the roof, and submit supplements when the carrier's scope misses code-required items. We do not file the claim for you and we do not negotiate it — that is between you and your carrier. And we never pay, rebate, or absorb any part of your deductible, because that is insurance fraud in Oklahoma.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most Bartlesville houses are one to two days: tear-off and dry-in on day one, finish and clean up on day two. Steeper roofs, full re-decks, and multi-layer tear-offs take longer. You get the schedule in writing before we start.

Do you replace gutters at the same time as the roof?

Yes, and it is the right sequence — roof first, fascia repaired, then gutter. One mobilization, one crew, and the drip edge and gutter get detailed together instead of by two companies blaming each other later.

What roofing materials do you install?

Architectural and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, designer shingles, 3-tab, standing seam and exposed-fastener metal, stone-coated steel, synthetic slate and composite, cedar shake, clay and concrete tile, and on low-slope and commercial decks TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and silicone or elastomeric coating restoration.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

Yes. Low-slope commercial roofs across Washington, Nowata and Osage counties — TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and coating restorations where the existing deck is sound enough that a tear-off would be wasted money.

Will you pull the permit?

Yes. Permits and inspections are our responsibility. If a roofer asks you to pull the permit yourself, they are asking you to carry their liability.

Should I use a storm-chasing crew that knocked on my door?

Ask three questions: what is your Oklahoma CIB registration number, do you hold the Residential Roofing Endorsement, and where is your local address. Then look the registration up. An out-of-state crew is gone by the next season; a warranty from a company with no address here is not worth much.

How do I know if my roof has hail damage?

Usually you do not, from the ground. Hail bruises the shingle mat and breaks the sealant strips without leaving anything visible from the driveway. That is why the inspection is free — we walk it, photograph it, mark test squares, and give you the photo set either way.

What areas do you serve?

Bartlesville and the surrounding towns: Dewey, Ochelata, Ramona, Copan, Vera, Nowata, Delaware, South Coffeyville, Pawhuska, Barnsdall, Skiatook, Oologah, Collinsville, and across the state line into Caney and Coffeyville, Kansas.
